Helen

by Cindy Sowers
Size: 7″, one of a kind
Category: Bears

This bear is a sweet darling. Regal and silly at the same time. Not sure how that happens, but it does! She is soft and touchable. Silly, serious, sweet, soft, girlie, festive. She is a Marie Antoinette inspired girl with big hair. She is ready for the palace waltz.

Helen has been designed and constructed by me. She is one of a kind and made to have character and personality. I love that vintage or antique look in a bear. She is 7" tall (big hair). She is made from a German rayon that I have hand-dyed a lovely pale green, laundered and distressed a bit. Her inner arms, ears and legs are made from a pretty floral cotton print. Her feet end in a painted ballet shoe with a bit of German glass glitter sparkle. Her features are German glass black eyes, cotton floss nose and some hand coloring of her face. She is 5 pin/disk jointed so everything moves full circle. Head and limbs stuffed firmly, but belly is squeezable. She is lightly weighted with a bit of steel shot. She will sit nicely in your hand. She can sit on her own, but needs propping to stand.

She comes with the outfit shown - a hand-dyed silk dress designed and constructed by me. There is a white tulle tutu (shown in 1 of the photos) that comes with. Dress and tutu removable. Her wig is a chenille yarn over a wool base that is firmly attached permanently. There are mulberry paper flowers permanently attached for adornment.

She will come neatly packaged in a custom box and identification.

Shipping policy

First Class within the USA takes up to 10 days for delivery according to the post office, but my experience has been that things arrive within 5 days in the Continental US. If you want your item more quickly, convo me and I will add extra shipping costs to your purchase and will ship Priority or whatever you require.

For International packages, I will ship First Class International if the item is light enough.

I insure all parcels via USPS.

***PLEASE NOTE: For International packages the EXACT VALUE of contents will be marked on the customs form as required. Please do not ask me to mark down value of the package or mark as a gift. Please be aware that International shipments may be subject to customs fees and tariffs that are not covered in my shipping estimates and are the responsibility of the buyer. I am not aware what the duties are for each country, but some are quite high. Please keep this in mind that there may be additional charges by your country upon delivery, when making purchases. According to my post office I cannot track International First Class packages except to Canada, the UK and Australia, at this time. However, with some countries it appears the number on the customs form will track, but it has been more or less random as far as I can tell.

It is unlikely that an item will be lost in the mail, but it is possible that delays will happen with international mail. Once the item is mailed by me, I cannot control when it is received by you.

Returns policy

I want you to be happy with your purchase and therefore strive to do work of the highest quality. All sales are final and I cannot offer refunds or exchanges. If you have any questions about an item, please feel free to message me before purchasing! I am happy to answer questions. Damaged or lost items will be addressed individually, as parcels are insured via the US Post Office.
